Incentives Reach Record Levels

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

Last month, automotive manufacturer incentives reached record levels. GM, Ford, and
Chrysler all spent more than $3,000 per vehicle in June, with GM paying $4,312 followed by
Ford’s $3,328 and Chrysler’s $3,569. Nissan led Japanese brands at $1,550, followed by
Toyota ($749) and Honda ($597).

General Motors upped its lease deals after July 4 and is
expected to boost rebate cash on slow-selling models. Ford is also expected to increase its
offers. Chrysler officials said they did not expect to increase deals, as June sales were
up 5 percent.
