General Motors is likely to introduce two new Hummer models, the H3 midsize SUV and the H3T
pickup truck in the near future. It’s rumored that GM will begin producing the Hummer H3
starting next year.
GM may offer a midsize pickup similar to the H3T concept vehicle
displayed at the recent Detroit Auto Show. The H3 shares many of its chassis components
with Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickups.
The H3 has a 118.6-inch wheelbase
and is 74.5 inches wide. H3T’s pickup bed has side-access doors with drop-down assist
steps, which double as weather-tight storage. The tailgate forms an unbroken load surface
when it’s down. A large, power-operated, folding-canvas sunroof and a drop-down rear window
for open-air driving are featured.
