General Motors has announced that it will install an OnStar in-vehicle communications link
and StabiliTrak electronic stability control on all its vehicles sold in North America.

OnStar is scheduled to become standard by 2007. GM said OnStar will continue to be free the
first year and $199/year or $16.95 per month after that. Stability control will be standard
on all GM trucks and SUVs by 2007, but cars may not be equipped until 2010.
