GM Extends 'Employee' Pricing

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

General Motors has extended its “Employee Discount for Everyone” consumer incentives
program through August 1. With the program, GM is selling 2005 model vehicles at the same
price as GM employees pay.

The campaign drove GM’s sales up 41 percent in June, the best
month in 19 years. Chrysler and Ford are also announcing employee pricing campaigns similar
to GM’s program. Both makers will give retail customers the same discounts normally given
to employees. Ford’s plan will cover all Ford, Lincoln and Mercury-brand vehicles, except
the Ford GT, Mustang, Escape Hybrid and Lincoln Mark LT.

The new program will shave $9,000
off the suggested retail price of a Lincoln Navigator, and $8,000 off the Ford Explorer’s
price.
