General Motors will offer its employee discounts through September 6, which is the same
date Ford announced its own program will end. However, unlike Ford, GM is not offering the
discounts on 2006 models.
GM is reducing prices on some 2006 models as an alternative to
continued employee pricing. Chrysler’s brands are also extending employee-discounts but has
not set an end date for them.
In addition, Chrysler is offering up to $3,500 rebates on
some unsold 2005 models.
