The semi-monthly Lundberg Survey of 7,000 U.S. gas stations reported that retail gas prices
dropped an average of 23 cents nationwide in the last two weeks.
The average price for
self-serve regular averaged $2.43 per gallon, the price for mid-grade was $2.53, and
premium was $2.63. According to the survey, the lowest self-serve regular average was in
Tulsa, Oklahoma, at $2.06; the highest was in Miami at $2.74.
Lundberg said the price is
down 23 cents per gallon from two weeks ago, and down nearly 49 cents in the last month.
Lundberg predicted that prices could continue to fall, but not at the same rate.
