Gasoline prices continue to fall as supplies catch up with demand. Crude oil prices fell to
their lowest level since late July. The national average for regular self-serve gasoline is
$2.352 a gallon, down by 10 cents from last week.
In the Los Angeles area, the average
price of self-serve regular gas was $2.669, or 8.9 cents lower than last week, 31 cents
lower than last month, but still 29 cents higher than a year ago, according to the
Automobile Club of Southern California’s Weekend Gas Watch.
In Texas, the statewide average
price for a gallon of regular self-serve was $2.273 a gallon — a weekly drop of 11 cents.
Unless there is a disruption in the availability of gasoline, prices are expected to
continue to drop throughout the Thanksgiving holiday.
