Frontier RV Inc. introduced its new aluminum-and-hung-fiberglass Hyperlite by Frontier
travel-trailer series at this month’s Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa. Available in
single-slideout lengths of 21 to 27 feet, the entry-level Hyperlite joins the Explorer and
Aspen towables in Frontier’s brand lineup.
Johnny Hernandez, president of the Longview,
Texas-based company, said that high fuel prices led to the Hyperlite’s introduction and
that 18- to 19-foot floorplans will be added at a later date. No floorplan in the series
will weigh more than 5,000 pounds dry. “We wanted to build something that was lighter in
weight and still have full-size amenities,” Hernandez said. Hyperlite is equipped with
fiberglass front caps, and heated and enclosed underbellies.
Suggested retail prices start
around $18,900.
