travelers’ desire to save money on the road by offering plenty of free
stuff!
A new section of the www.mansfieldtourism.com website features a big red FREE STUFF
button that will take you to a listing of everything free in the area —
and the list is long. “Mansfield offers families an incredible list of
affordable, yet meaningful travel experiences,” said Mansfield
Convention & Visitors Bureau President Lee Tasseff.
Just a few of the free experiences awaiting Mansfield visitors include:
- The Shawshank Trail: Free drive-it-yourself tour
- Apple Hill Orchard: Complimentary samples, beehive demonstrations, petting zoo, parking, and more
- Artworks on Main: Free admission
- Charles Mill Lake Park: Free swimming access, public parkland and boat ramps
- Cooper’s Mill: Free tours, samples and more
- Crafty Clutter: Free gift
- Creative Outlet Native Arts: free gift such as, moccasin
key ring, perfume samples, wooden nickel, etc., plus visitors may have a
piece of jewelry polished at no charge - Fatboys Raceways: Free admission
- Hidden Hilltop Alpaca Ranch: Free tours (nominal charge for activities)
- Eatmor Bundt Co.: Free international tea tasting and bundt cake samples
- Malabar Farm State Park: Free hiking trails, bird aviary, special events and more
- Mansfield Fire Museum & Educational Center: Free tours
- Mohican Wildlife Weekend: April 29-May 1, 2011, featuring a host of free events, workshops and activities
- Squirrel’s Den: Free samples of chocolate
- Ohio Bird Sanctuary: Free admission, tours, events and access to grounds
- Ohio Genealogical Society: Access to publications, resources and free assistance researching family history
