Ford has released some preliminary information on the 2009 F-150 pickup series, which will
go on sale this fall. A gas-saving six-speed automatic will be available for the first time
in this model.
The entry-level V-6 engine will be dropped, but three V-8 options will be
offered. Options will include three cab styles, four bed lengths and seven trim levels.
Styling won’t be radically different, but the SuperCrew cabs will have an extra six inches
of rear-seat legroom. There also will be various interior storage options, swing-out side
steps, and a fold-out tailgate step.
Prices have not yet been announced.
