Ford Recalls 260,000 Vehicles

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

Ford is recalling approximately 260,000 vehicles for a stalling problem.
The affected vehicles are 2004-05 model year F-Series pickups,
Excursion SUVs, and E-350 and E-450 vans and motorhome chassis. Many
have Ford’s 6.0-liter diesel engine. A faulty fuel-injection control
module can result in stalling. The National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA) reported that two minor injuries have been
linked to the issue.

Ford also is reportedly investigating 2003 F-Series Super Duty
models with the diesel engine for other engine issues. In addition,
Ford is recalling 78,675 Super Duty trucks for fuel lines that separate
from the main fuel bundle.
