Ford plans to make a number of changes to its 2005 F-Super Duty truck
line. Besides a new, larger grille, these changes include increased tow
ratings by as much as 3,000 pounds, for a maximum conventional rating of
15,000 pounds. Increased payload capacities of more than 1,000 pounds
are expected as well.
Gasoline engines will get three-valve per cylinder technology, up
from two valves. The V-10 will be boosted to 355 hp and 455 lb-ft of
torque. Ratings on the 5.4-liter will go up to 300 hp and 365 lb-ft.
The series should get a complete redesign for the 2007 model year.
