Ford and Navistar International have settled lawsuits between the companies. Ford will pay
Navistar an undisclosed amount of money and on Dec. 31, Navistar will cease providing
engines for Ford Super Duty trucks. Ford had sued Navistar over quality concerns with
6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engines used in the Super Duty trucks between 2002 and 2007
and for not paying its share of warranty claims. Navistar sued for breach of contract,
claiming that Ford planned to produce an engine for its F-150 pickup truck that had been
designed by Navistar’s International and it had a contract to make the engines for Ford.
