Ford and Navistar, the manufacturer of the Power Stroke diesel engines
used in F-Series Super Duty pickups, are in a serious spat over alleged
contract violations regarding pricing and warranty reimbursements.
Navistar ceased production and delivery of the engines, and as a
result Ford shut down assembly of the trucks. A temporary court order
forced Navistar to resume delivery of the engines and directs Ford to
pay full price for the engines. The companies are due back in court
soon.
