Lighting specialist Hella has developed a full-LED headlamp for the
Cadillac Escalade Platinum, making it the first SUV to be equipped with
this energy-saving technology.
The light color of the white LEDs is considerably closer to
daylight than that of Xenon light. This comes close to what people are
used to seeing so the driver does not tire as soon. In addition, the
white LEDs have a quick response time.
Hella is using newly developed multi-chip LEDs as light sources
for low beam and high beam. The daytime running light function will be
realized by dimming the low beam. Direction indicator and fog lamp are
mounted in the lower area of the bumper.
