Ford reports that it used Pro Formance, a coaching company, to train volunteers in
“Eco-Driving.” The class received training on accelerating and stopping more efficiently,
maintaining proper tire pressures, reducing idling, and driving more slowly. Participants
improved their mileage from 6% to 50%, with an average gain of 24%.
