CW Helps Hurricane Victims

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

The staff at national retailer Camping World went to work right after
Hurricane Charley to try to find some way to assist the storm victims
who were left without shelter.

The Florida Camping World store in Fort Myers coordinated its
efforts through the Hendry County Sheriff’s office. Camping World’s home
office, based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, made the call to the disaster
center to ascertain what was needed. To date, 216 tents and 40 sleeping
bags have been shipped.

“It’s just our way of trying to help,” said CEO Mark Boggess. “It
is a terrible thing to be without any kind of shelter. We know that much
more needs to be done for the community, and we know that we wanted to
be a part of an effort to bring life back to normal in the aftermath of
Charley.”
