A recent poll by the Civil Society Institute, Newton, Massachusetts, carried out a survey
during the early part of November found that about nine out of 10 people surveyed expect
oil prices to continue a gradual climb. Roughly 70 percent of them will consider this in
their future buying decisions. The study reports that more than 45 percent of consumers
claimed they are more likely to buy a “hybrid or other fuel-efficient vehicle” than they
were six months ago.
