Chrysler is recalling 24,177 vehicles due to a potential brake defect that could result in
sudden failure. The recall includes 2009-2010 model year Dodge Ram trucks and 2010 Jeep
Liberty, Commander, Grand Cherokee SUVs, plus Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger and Nitro. On
some vehicles, a brake pedal pin clip retention tab either wasn’t properly formed, or
wasn’t installed. This could result in brake failure without warning, so if you have one of
these vehicles check with your dealer.
