Chevy Reveals Plans for New Model

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

Aware of the success of the PT Cruiser, Chevrolet will introduce a
retro-crossover wagon model as a 2006 model. It will be the
five-passenger HHR (high heritage roof), based on a small-car platform
and powered by a 220-hp, DOHC four-cylinder engine. The HHR sports 1940s
styling, inspired by the high-roofed 1949 Chevrolet Suburban, will be
larger than the PT.

HHR will be one of nine new or significantly updated models that
Chevy plans to introduce over the next 20 months. The models include the
Cobalt, replacement of the Cavalier, the next Malibu and Malibu Maxx,
the Colorado pickup and the Equinox crossover, the SSR pickup, the Aveo
and the next-generation Corvette.
