The next-generation Dodge Durango sport-utility vehicle, which currently
shares many components with the Dakota pickup, will instead take on
more resemblance from the Ram full-size pickup. This will occur because
the next Dakota pickup will be downsized.
The wheelbase of the Durango SUV will be stretched almost 10
inches, while overall length will remain essentially unchanged. Interior
volume will be up about one-fourth, with a seven-foot cargo floor or
available seating for eight passengers. The rear two rows of seats can
be folded flat.
Engines might include a 3.7-liter V-6, a 4.7-liter V-8 and the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8.
