RV retailer Camping World and its Woodall’s campground directory unit
have joined forces in an effort to increase awareness about and
accessibility to the RV lifestyle, the company announced in a press
release.
“Camping World’s vast presence in the U.S. as a leading RV
retailer and Woodall’s prominence in the campground market proves to be a
natural fit and a win-win for both of their current and potential
customers,” the release states. “In effect, this alliance brings
together the innovation and strength of both companies in their
respective fields.”
“Camping World is proud to partner with Woodall’s,” added Camping
World President Johnny Sirpilla. “We feel confident that the increased
exposure the RV parks and campgrounds will receive now that Woodall’s is
designated as the ‘Official Directory of Camping World’ is beneficial
to all.”
The circulation of Woodall’s North American Campground Directory
is expected to increase in 2012 with the added accessibility of the
directories to 750,000 Camping World President’s Club members
“As the partnership between Camping World and Woodall’s is
developed over the next few months,” the release further states, “there
are many benefits and opportunities for private RV parks and campgrounds
such as the ability to become a Camping World licensed park, stock
Camping World parts and accessories on site and gain increased exposure
with nearby Camping World retail stores and dealerships which will
increase traffic by increasing visibility.”
The online search module for Woodall’s campgrounds soon will be
prominently located on the Camping World website providing customers
with one-stop shopping for all RV needs while also increasing exposure
for the campgrounds.
“Our partnership strengthens the awareness of RV parks and
campgrounds across the country by bringing greater recognition and
enabling us to better align our services for the consumer as well as our
RV park and campground customers,” stated Ann Emerson, Woodall’s vice
president and publisher.
Future plans include the addition of Camping World stores to the
Woodall’s 2011 iPhone application and exclusive Camping World offers
extended to Woodall’s Facebook and blog followers. Additional
developments for this partnership also include Woodall’s having a strong
presence at Camping World attended consumer RV shows as well as special
in-store promotions catering to President’s Club members such as a
“Woodall’s Wednesday” offering special incentives and dedicated space in
Camping World stores.
