Calif. Leads Way to Hydrogen Fuel

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken another step in his
drive toward a zero-emission environment — driving a specially built
hydrogen-fueled Hummer H2H and opening California’s latest hydrogen
fueling station on October 22.

The governor and General Motors, who created the Hummer H2H, have
been strong proponents of moving the country away from its dependence on
oil and pushing for a new hydrogen-based economy. The new fueling
station will provide fuel for hydrogen-powered vehicles and allow
companies to learn more about hydrogen as a fuel.

Companies are developing zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell products
that will not only power automobiles, but also office buildings, homes
and even mobile phones. GM said California’s use of hydrogen will be an
example for the rest of the country.
