Cadillac will be the first to offer in-car TV as an aftermarket
option on its Escalade SUV. The TV will be provided by KVH Industries,
which will market its TracVision A5 automotive satellite system through
Cadillac dealers. The system will provide more than 135 channels of
programming and music. A low-profile antenna, DirecTV receiver and a
remote control are included in the package.
Cost has not been announced, although aftermarket installations typically are $2,000 or higher.
