Ford SuperDuty Pickups Get Uprated
Ford’s SuperDuty pickup line is redefining towing leadership,
boosting its best-in-class towing capability to a whopping 19,200 pounds
with the new TowBoss package. The F-350 now delivers nearly 2,500
pounds more towing capacity than the nearest competitor.
Honda to Introduce Ridgeline Pickup
Honda is planning to introduce a pickup truck named Ridgeline that
will go on sale next year as a 2006 model. Honda’s first-ever pickup in
the United States will look unconventional. It will be powered by
Honda’s 3.5-liter, V-6 engine driving a five-speed automatic
transmission into full-time all-wheel drive. No word yet as to pricing
or tow rating.
East Coast Hydrogen Fuel Station Opens
The first hydrogen refueling station on the East Coast has been
opened by Shell Oil Company in a Washington, D.C. suburb. The first
vehicle to fill up with hydrogen was a prototype GM minivan (Shell’s partner) that is powered by a fuel cell.
