Durango-Based Chrysler SUV?

Rumors have it that Chrysler will soon sell an SUV built on the
same platform as the Dodge Durango. It will likely have more accessories
and premium features than the Durango.

GM Pays People to Test Drive SUVS

General Motors is currently offering $250 to potential buyers if
they test-drive one of GM’s SUVs overnight, but still buy a competing
brand. This offer includes SUVs from all GM brands. It expires July 7.

Ford Sets Escape Hybrid Prices

Ford’s new hybrid-powered Escape SUV, the company’s first hybrid
vehicle, will retail for about $27,000 (2WD) or $28,600 (4WD), which is
around $3,300 more than the regular Escape. It is projected to get 35 to
40 mpg. The hybrid version will be introduced later this year.

More Hybrids, Diesels for Nissan?

Nissan, which already announced a gas-electric hybrid Altima for
2006, is said to be developing a hybrid Murano and Infiniti FX35. In
addition, a diesel version of Nissan’s Titan pickup truck may be coming
soon.
