Bridgestone/Firestone to Complete Recall

Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. intends to complete its voluntary recall of 6.5 million tires by
August 29, more than a year after the initiation of the recall. Firestone has reportedly
replaced about 97 percent of the recalled tires already. It will reimburse customers for
replacements done at competitors’ stores if their claims are postmarked by August 29.
