Boogie Box

R-Vision, a full-range builder of motorized and lightweight towables, has expanded into the
ever-growing SURV market with the introduction of its Boogie Box toy hauler. Two lengths
and three floorplans comprise the Boogie Box line, which also features an eye-catching and
functional wedge nose that maximizes living and storage space along with toy-hauling
capacity. Creative design allows the placement of a bath, bedroom or galley that extends
into the aerodynamically raked nose — providing new untapped space without adding to
trailer length. For those who prefer a full master suite, the larger and
almost-in-production 31-foot FQB unit provides a spacious queen bed with walk-around access
on two sides. If cooking is the priority, the forward galley 27-foot FK model boasts a
spacious countertop, with an above-sink window looking forward in that wedge nose,
protected by its own combination shade and road hazard cover. The forward-bath 27-foot FB
floorplan creates a large bath suite and dressing area with an equally large wardrobe. All
three models share in the use of a conventional dinette setup as well as an opposing
flip-up sofa to maximize garage space when needed. Flush-mounted tie downs are provided on
the non-slip deck, and a king-size pull-down bed completes accommodations when the garage
is empty. One especially handy feature of the Boogie Box models is the use of a 20-inch LCD
TV that is mounted on a hinged platform, allowing interior and exterior viewing (via a
side-wall hatch). With extended-stay use in mind, the Boogie Box has been equipped with
ample freshwater and waste tanks to keep a family of riders well hydrated and clean.
Another helpful design element is the use of three five-gallon LP-gas cylinders mounted
under the protection of the nose, allowing quick removal for convenient refills or
exchanges without the necessity of moving the trailer. A 4.0-kW AC generator is also
available to keep the power flowing, and is fed by the 30-gallon fuel tank used for
refueling motorized toys. Two-inch fiberglass-over-aluminum sidewalls, a 30,000-BTU ducted
furnace and a choice of two air-conditioner sizes help maintain a comfortable environment.
Jeff Terhune, R-Vision’s product manager, is confident that the the Boogie Box’s rugged
10-inch I-Beam chassis — with 5,200-pound axles for increased gross vehicle weight ratings
(gvwr) — can handle the typical off-road conditions these trailers will encounter without
complaint. “We’ve already shipped some of these to California, the toy-hauler capital, and
they’ve been very well-received.” The 27-foot FKs had just begun production when this was
written, and the first 31-foot FQB prototype had just been built, so the entire line should
