Adrenaline 360 BS

Off-road enthusiasts tend to have different priorities than the average RVer. For example, some RVers wouldn’t consider spending several days in a primitive campground loads of fun — but for someone who enjoys dirt-biking or riding ATVs, it’s paradise. By the same token, your typical trailerist enjoys all the comforts of home, while an off-roader would prefer the comforts of his own garage — plus a bathroom and sleeping quarters.

With this special niche of RVer in mind, the sport-utility recreation vehicle (SURV) market segment was created, allowing off-roaders to camp comfortably and carry all of their toys, tools and gear with them. Many manufacturers have developed such products in recent years, and now Coachmen has entered the fray with its new Adrenaline XLV (eXtreme Lifestyle Vehicle) 360 BS (bedroom slideout) fifth-wheel.

“The entry-level SURV has been booming for a long time, and we’ve found that people are now ready to trade up to a better product,” explained John Stockman, Adrenaline product/sales manager. Stockman notes there are three things that are important to off-road enthusiasts: freshwater capacity, LP-gas capacity and power. To this end, the 360 BS holds a whopping 200 gallons of freshwater and 19 gallons of LP-gas, and has the option of a 5.5-kW Onan AC generator.

Thoughtful features abound. The load door is free of exposed springs and cables that can cause injury, and integrated track-style tie-downs with a 5,000-pound pull rating make securing cargo a snap. Moreover, Stockman maintains the 360 BS can carry more than 6,000 pounds of cargo before its 18,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) is reached.

And what about creature comforts? Standard features include accommodations for six, a queen bed, an indoor/outdoor jackknife sofa and dinette, an 8-cubic-foot two-door refrigerator, a three-burner range, an oven, a microwave, 13,500-BTU ducted air conditioning and an RCA six-speaker home-theater surround-sound system. Options include a satellite dish, a 20-inch flat-screen television, a 1,300-psi pressure washer, a chassis-mounted 120-psi air compressor, a re-fueling station with 28-gallon tank and a 2,300-pound rated power winch with remote.

Off-roaders have never had it so good!
