For those of us whose trailers have a recessed city water connection, it can be difficult to get the hose connected tightly enough to prevent leakage. A standard hose cutoff valve solves the problem. The valve can be purchased for about $4 at any local hardware store. We leave ours permanently attached to the water inlet.
