10-Minute Tech: Build A Stop

Originally Published in Trailer Life Magazine

The drawers in our trailer had poor stops, so we made our own. Make a wood stop that’s a little smaller than an Oreo cookie – big enough to secure the upper and lower drawers when in place, but small enough where it can be rotated out of the way. Drill a small hole through the face of the frame between the drawers. Then, from the inside, push a 2-inch screw through the hole, and secure it with a nut on the outside. Next, thread the wood stop onto the screw.

Once in place, you can place the stop in the open or locked position by rotating it at 90-degree angles.
