Airstream is best known for its iconic “silver bullet” travel trailers, but the company also makes a line of outstanding motor coaches, too. For instance, its affordable Rangeline models ride on the Ram ProMaster chassis and offer owners a lot of bang for their buck, while the Interstate line of vans is built on the Mercedes Sprinter 3500 platform and leans into versatility and comfort. But for those looking for the ultimate in small-coach luxury, the Atlas line is the way to go. And as you’ll see in the video above, the Airstream Atlas 25RT is a particularly compelling floor plan.

Like Airstream’s Interstate coach, the Atlas uses the Sprinter as its underlying platform, but in this case it is Mercedes’ larger 4500 chassis. That allows for more interior space and a higher ceiling, without sacrificing maneuverability. The 24′ 9″ rig comfortably sleeps two and has room for an extra passenger when motoring down the road. A 2L turbo diesel engine, paired with a 9-speed transmission, produces 208 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, while riding on a plush air ride suspension that eases the bumps in the road. All in all, it makes for a refined driving experience, even for a vehicle of this size and weight.
As you’ll see in the clip above, the interior of the Atlas 25RT is filled with thoughtful features and much-appreciated amenities. This floor plan comes with a sleeping space with twin beds located in the rear. Overhead roof lockers and under-bed storage provide plenty of room to stow your things, while a 24″ smart TV serves up entertainment while lounging in the bedroom. Near the front of the coach, you’ll discover a small dinette space with a removable table, which sits adjacent to the galley kitchen, where a stowable induction stove, a small microwave, and mini-fridge make the most of the space, while remaining efficient and powerful. A split dry bath features a toilet, sink, and vanity on one side of the van, while a dedicated shower is found on the other.

All of this looks good on paper, but is even better in person. As you’ll see in the video, the interior is filled with premium materials, furnishings, and fixtures, with a layout that looks beautiful and elegant, without losing sight of functionality. To that end, Airstream has equipped the Atlas with a powerful—yet quiet—HVAC system and integrated a 6.9kWh house battery (expandable to 17.2kWh), a 3000W inverter, and connected it all using a Garmin multiplexing system. Other features of note include a JBL premium audio system with four internal speakers, prewiring for cable, satellite, and 5G wireless internet connectivity, a powered awning, and a spacious gear garage. Starlink is available as an optional upgrade.
