We’ve been big fans of the Storyteller Overland Grand Bohemian since it was first revealed a few months back. Built using the Ineos Grenadier off-road vehicle as a platform, this overlanding rig is truly unique in the adventure truck/RV space. And thanks to a new video recently shared by the manufacturer, we now get an inside look at everything this rugged machine has to offer, and unsurprisingly it’s even better than we had hoped.

At first glance, the Grand Bohemian looks like just about any other Ineos Grenadier that you might encounter on the road or some backcountry overlanding route. That’s because that vehicle is purpose-built from the ground up to be a rugged, go-anywhere adventure truck designed to take on the toughest terrain on the planet. If you’re not familiar with the Grenadier, it was designed to be a modern competitor for the Land Rover Defender, but with some old-school features like a mechanical rear locking differential, solid front and rear axles, all-time four-wheel drive, and physical buttons versus a touchscreen. All of that makes it a great option for Storyteller to create something that simply hasn’t been seen before.
So what does the vehicle manufacturer add to the mix? For starters, the Grenadier has been outfitted with sleeping space for up to three people, thanks in no small part to its integrated Alu-Cab roof system which adds a pop-up rooftop tent. It also gets upgraded off-road performance thanks to an Evictus Prerunner suspension. A built-in air compressor, a 5.4kWh battery paired with 400W of solar, a 10.5-gallon filtered freshwater tank, and a gas-fired Rixen hydronic heating system further expand its capabilities when venturing off-road and off-grid. But Storyteller didn’t skimp on the luxuries, as the rig also comes with custom leather seating, dimmable LED lighting, hardwood butcher block countertops in the galley kitchen, and a custom interior that leans towards comfort and functionality.

All of this fits into a vehicle that can serve both as a daily driver and a fully functional, well-equipped, and highly capable expedition truck. The rig’s relatively small footprint allows it to be nimble and stable on remote trails, yet still perform well on your commute. This is a turnkey adventure vehicle that is ready to go after rolling off the assembly line, with all of the benefits and support that Storyteller has to offer. Essentially, this is a great option for someone who is looking for outstanding performance and comfort, without having to build out their own adventure rig from the ground up.
All of this sounds great on paper, but seeing the Grand Bohemian in action is an altogether different experience. In the video above, you’ll not only go inside the Grenadier to see everything that Storyteller packed into the interior space, you’ll also catch a glimpse of it driving alongside other vehicles in the Storyteller stable. That gives you a good idea of the size of the rig and what it is capable of.

The 2027 model still starts at $198,888, which makes it highly competitive compared to a number of Class B adventure vans on the market, while having far more capabilities than those rigs. That really makes the Storyteller Overland Grand Bohemian a truly compelling option for owners who are looking to jump into the overlanding lifestyle or simply want a comfortable, well-equipped way to camp off-grid.
