- Embassy RV Enhances Dolphin and Cape Cod Models with Off-Road Features: This week’s new RV news includes upgraded models from Embassy RV. The brand announced the arrival of the new Uncharted Dolphin and Uncharted Cape Cod rigs, which now come with better off-road capabilities. The Uncharted Package now adds all-terrain tires, a lifted suspension, a roof rack, and a side access ladder. As usual, these models are built on Embassy’s no-wood, all-composite construction process, while still enabling the versatile floor plans and features the company is known for. - Winnebago and Progressive Insurance Announce Collab: RV insurance is an important part of owning a travel trailer, fifth-wheel, or motorhome. This week, Winnebago and Progressive Insurance announced a new partnership designed to “Elevate the RV ownership experience.” Essentially, the two companies are working together on some marketing initiatives while exploring ways to get Winnebago owners better coverage at a good price. - Storyteller Overland Co-Founder Joins Remote Vans: Big news from the RV manufacturing space, as Remote Vans has announced that Andrew Cooley—the co-founder of Storyteller Overland—has joined the company. Cooley comes onboard as the new President of Remote Vans, where he brings considerable experience to the team. He joined CEO Daryn Hillhouse in a very interesting YouTube video to talk about the state of the camper van space in 2026 and where it may be heading in the future. Give it a watch here.

- RV and Outdoor Industries Support ‘America the Beautiful Act’: This week, more than 200 companies and trade associations in the outdoor industry sent a letter to the US Congress urging them to pass the $1.3 trillion America the Beautiful Act before the upcoming August recess. Signatories on the letter include Winnebago Industries, THOR Industries, Forest River, Inc., and many others (full list here). The act has bipartisan support in Congress and would extend and expand the Legacy Restoration Fund that was created by the Great American Outdoors Act passed in 2020. The goal is to ensure consistent funding for infrastructure repairs and expansions in national parks, national forests, and public lands, while also modernizing how projects are selected, funded, and reported on. - The Cinch Wingman Takes Rooftop Tents to the Next Level: If you’re in the market for a new rooftop tent, the Cinch Wingman should be on your radar. This model brings some interesting new concepts to the market, including a two-story design with a bed up top and a living space in the bed of a truck. Other unique features include a pop-open hatch in the roof for stargazing, a quick-mount system for easy installation, built-in MOLLE panels, a removable bamboo table, and magnetic LED lighting. - The Dyrt Announces Regional Campsite Award Winners: The Dyrt continues to reveal its picks for the best places to camp across the US. This week, the online campsite discovery platform revealed its top 10 winners for different parts of the country, including the Central Region, Midwest Region, Mountain Region, Northeast Region, Pacific Region, and Southeast Region. - RV Trader has Travel Advice for RVers visiting theme parks and the Grand Canyon: RV Trader, the online platform for selling new and used RVs, shared some great tips for travelers recently. The website shared not one, but two, great articles with advice for RVers still planning summer trips. First, we have an article that offers a travel guide for RVers visiting the Grand Canyon, which can be a tricky place for larger vehicles and towables. And more recently, we have a list of 8 theme parks that accommodate RV visitors. Both are really helpful and full of important info.

- The 2027 Toyota Tundra Improves Off-Road Chops: While the Tacoma remains Toyota’s best-selling pickup in North America, its bigger brother, the Tundra, is a popular option in its own right. Now, that model is getting some fairly significant improvements in the form of a new Trailhunter badge that upgrades the truck’s off-roading capabilities. Trailhunter features include Michelin LTX Trail tires, a lifted suspension, front-mounted recovery hooks, a locking rear differential, extra skid plates, and a Multi-Terrain drive mode for improved traction. Model-specific badging, wheels, and other styling help set this Tundra apart from the TRD Pro model, which is potentially more capable but also has more aggressive lines and a higher price. - Jalopnik Explains How to Turn Any Car into an RV: Let’s face it, we all love our big, plush, well-equipped RVs, but every once in a while it’s nice to have a quicker, simpler camping option. That’s where car camping can come in. Just throw all of your gear into your daily driver and head out for a quick and easy camping getaway. This week, car-focused website Jalopnik shared some tips on how to turn any regular vehicle into a nice option for camping, including configuring sleeping arrangements, managing storage, cooking, power, and more.
