The Keystone Cougar Half-Ton line of towables has always been a standout option, offering an upscale camping experience in a fifth-wheel that is more accessible and easier to tow. But the new 29RLP floor plan takes things up a notch, delivering even more impressive features and functionality in a layout that feels both spacious and welcoming at the same time. Introduced as part of the 2027 model year lineup, this rig will certainly be turning a lot of heads at the campground in the months ahead.

Measuring 33′ 9″ end-to-end, and with a GVWR of 9,900 lbs, the 29RLP is relatively small by fifth-wheel standards. Still, the luxury towable offers plenty of space inside with room to comfortably sleep six. It also comes with heated holding tanks, with the fresh, gray, and black water receptacles offering 54, 80, and 40-gallon capacities, respectively. Dual propane tanks offer up to 40 lbs of capacity, as well, while 50-amp service provides power at the campsite. A Furrion Quick Cool 18k BTU air conditioner with a heat pump comes standard, with the option to add a second 15K BTU A/C unit to the primary bedroom. A 30k BT ducted furnace keeps the interior warm for those cool-weather outings.

The 29RLP floor plan’s signature features include a rear living room with theater seating, a plush couch that converts to a bed, and a large smart TV mounted over a fireplace. Slides on both sides of the rig make this area, and the adjoining island kitchen, feel extra spacious, with premium vinyl flooring and 84″ ceilings with crown molding further enhancing the experience. A three-burner stove, convection microwave, black stainless steel two-basin sink with high-rise faucet, and a 12V refrigerator let camp chefs run wild, while a booth dinette offers room for the whole family. A free-standing table with chairs is an optional upgrade.

Midship, you’ll find the bathroom, which comes equipped with a porcelain Thetford toilet, a small—but useful—sink, and seamless pressed countertops. The spacious shower includes a sliding retractable privacy screen, a large skylight, and an Oxygenics shower head, with hot water provided via a 60k BTU tankless water heater. A dedicated linen closet makes a great place to store towels, sheets, and other items, but the real star here is a residential-size and styled medicine cabinet with a surprising amount of storage space.

Finally, the front of the trailer is dominated by the primary bedroom, which comes with a massive walk-around king-size bed. The space offers prep for a second TV and includes dimmable lighting to meet changing needs. Storage options include under-bed drawers, overhead cabinets, dual wardrobes, and nightstands on both sides of the bed. 110V outlets and USB charging ports are easily accessible from both sides, too.
