Friday is here at last and the weekend is now in sight. That can only mean one thing—it’s time for another edition of our weekly round up of the biggest news stories from the past week. Here are a few things you might want to know about.

- Airstream Launches Rangeline 21PL Touring Coach: Without a doubt, one of the biggest stories of the week is the debut of the latest Rangeline touring coach from Airstream. The new 21PL model comes with a bed mounted on a powered lift, a spacious lounge/dinette space, a wet bath, and more. You can read our full coverage of this exciting new Class B model here.

- Thor Shares Upgrades for 2027 Class C Models: We’re nearing the halfway point of the year, which means it’s time for RV manufacturers to begin revealing the upgrades, changes, and modifications coming for the 2027 model year. First out of the gate is Thor Motor Coach, which shared some details on what’s coming to its Chateau, Compass, Echelon, Four Winds, Gemini, Outlaw, and Quantum models. Class C motorhomes in the months ahead. Those updates include everything from new latches on cargo doors and wall-mounted LCD screens, to dual-fuel generators and skylights. All models will also gain aluminum running boards for better access, while the Outlaw will gain sporty new graphics packages, Starlink prep, a two-burner gas cooktop, and one floor plan even comes with a queen-sized powered bunk in the garage. - The 10 Coolest Rigs From Overland Expo 2026: Overland Expo West has been done and dusted for a few weeks now, but there is still plenty to cover from that great event. This past week, GearJunkie shared its picks for ten of the coolest adventure vehicles that were at OXE, with some truly outstanding RVs, trucks, expedition rigs, and other four-wheeled base camps making the cut. A few of the options include a 2000 Land Rover Defender, a well-equipped 1988 Mitsubishi Delica Star Wagon, and an Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster. See what else made the cut here.

- GearJunkie Explains How Sway Bars Work: Ranking the top off-road rigs at Overland Expo wasn’t the only topic of discussion at GearJunkie this week. Former RV Magazine contributor Bruce Smith also published a piece explaining how sway bars work, and more importantly why you might want one in your truck, camper van, or motorhome. In a nutshell, these add-on accessories reduce the side-to-side motion of a vehicle on rough terrain, improving stability and safety, while reducing driver fatigue. Get the full scoop here.

- Campendium RV Pro Can Solve Common Travel Challenges: Campendium, an online platform designed to help RVers discover campsites and plan trips, announced a new premium annual travel service. Dubbed Campendium RV Pro, the service is built to provide a host of information not just for potential campsites, but the journey to and from those locations, and exploring the surrounding area. RV Pro offers a variety of information, including how to plan the safest route to a destination, what cell service is like along the way, and more. Users can receive text alerts on campground availability, use tools for smart trip planning, choose routes based on the size of their rigs, and so on. And just as a point of information, Campendium’s campground database contains more than 16,000 locations, all of which are available to review and book directly. - The Dyrt Says Three Out of Five Campers are Camping for Free: We’ve got more insightful information from The Dyrt to share with you this week. The online campsite discovery platform’s annual Camping Report always says that 59.8% of the respondents to the survey have camped for free at least once in the past year. For tent campers, 79.1% stayed at dispersed sites, while 73.6% RVers ad vanlifers overnighted in a rest stop or parking lot. Others (63.7%) stayed on a free, established campground, while 36.5% camped on private property. For further insights, click here.

- Love’s Travel Stops Further Expands RV Service and Maintenance Options: We’re big fans of Love’s Travel Stops here at RV.com, especially since the company continues to give us good reasons to visit while out on the road. This week, Love’s announced that it is expanding its mechanical, oil, and lube features for RVers at select locations. It has even partnered with Spartan to provide warranty work on motorhomes that utilize the Spartan RV Chassis. Oil and lube service is now available at 275 locations, while brakes, batteries, tires, suspension, and other repair and maintenance work is available at 431 Love’s Truck Care spots across the country. - Iowa Becomes 25th State to Create an Office of Outdoor Recreation: As outdoor recreation continues to grow and have a larger impact on the economy, an increasing number of states have opened official government agencies to manage and promote those resources. This week, Iowa became the 25th state to launch such an agency, with the new Office of Outdoor Recreation officially being created via an executive order signed by Governor Kim Reynolds. The goal is to promote the state as a destination for fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and other activities. RV Business has more detailed info here.
