The Grand Design Transcend is a travel trailer that tends to live in the shadow of its bigger, more well-known stablemates, most notably the Reflection and Momentum fifth-wheels. But this well-equipped towable comes with enough features and amenities of its own to help it stand out in the crowd. And as you’ll see in the video above, the 265BHT floor plan is an excellent bunkhouse design with room for the entire family, and then some.
The 265BHT stretches 32′ 9″ in length, has a height of 11′, and a GVWR of 7,995 lbs. The travel trailer easily sleeps eight, thanks to a queen-size bed in the primary bedroom, a sofa that converts into a second bed, and two double bunks located in the rear. This makes it an excellent option for anyone who camps with their extended family or likes to bring lots of friends along on their adventures. Dual entry ways make getting in and out easy, and an exterior kitchen—complete with griddle and mini-fridge—helps extend the living space outdoors.

The version of Transcend 265BHT showing in the video includes theater seating along one of the walls in the living room area, although that can be replaced with an optional U-shaped dinette if that makes more sense for your needs. Either option sits opposite a 32″ smart TV mounted on a swivel arm that allows it to be seen throughout the cabin. All of this sits adjacent to the kitchen, which includes a four-burner stove, convection microwave, stainless steel sink, and a 12V refrigerator/freezer. There is also plenty of counter space for meal prep, and a surprising number of drawers and cupboards for storing supplies, pots, pans, and utensils. In fact, the travel trailer has abundant storage throughout, including multiple wardrobes.
The pass-through bathroom sits midship and is larger than you would expect from an RV of this size. A large pocket door provides privacy and separation, while a ceiling vent ensures moisture is efficiently routed outside the rig. The shower is roomy and well-designed, with a residential-style shower head and integrated shelves for soap, shampoo, and other items. A toilet with a foot pedal flush, a linen closet, storage cabinet, and a bathroom sink round out the space, giving it the homey feel of a small apartment.

This Grand Design Transcend trailer has a number of other thoughtful features that show how much knowledge went into this floor plan. For instance, it comes with 200W of solar and a 30A charge controller as standard equipment, with the option to add a 2000W inverter. The rig includes a designated pull-out trash bin drawer and has built-in pet dishes, too. The rig is also built for 3+ season camping, thanks to excellent insulation, 15k BTU A/C units, and a 35k BTU furnace, keeping the interior comfortable in a range of temperatures and weather conditions.
As usual, we could go on and on about all of the unique design elements and the impressive build quality of this travel trailer, but the video does a better job of showing you everything it has to offer. Hit play to start your virtual tour now, then head over to the Grand Design website to learn more about the Transcend. With a starting price of $51,246, the 265BHT floor plan has a lot to offer.
