- Grand Design Walks Us Through the New Reflection 29RL Floor Plan: The Grand Design Reflection has always been an outstanding luxury fifth-wheel trailer, but for 2026 it is getting a couple of new floor plans that especially stand out. The video above takes us through the new Reflection 29RL model, which features an incredible living room and kitchen space that has to be seen to be believed. Press play to see it for yourself.

- RVIA to Require Tire-Pressure Monitoring System on Towables by 2028: At a meeting of the RV Industry Association (RVIA) board held in March, the organization approved a resolution requiring all manufacturers to include a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in all towable RVs by the 2028 model year. Most motorized models already come with a TPMS, but adding them to all travel trailers and fifth wheels will increase safety while towing. RV News has more insights into this announcement.

- RV Pro Looks at the Future of Electric RVs: Earlier this week, we took a look at the new Ford E-Transit to see if it was a viable platform for building an electric RV. It seems we’re not the only ones thinking about the future of electrification in the RV space, as our friends over at RV Pro have also been pondering that question. A few days back, they published an interesting article in which they asked industry leaders about e-RVs. The answers were insightful and interesting. Read the story here. - Love’s RV Travel Stops Now Sell Tires and Batteries: We’ve been a big fan of the Love’s RV Stops for some time now, but this week those places got a little better. In a move that further cements the company’s commitment to RVers, Love’s announced this week that it is now selling RV tires and batteries at those 76 locations in 27 states. , which are comprised of 76 locations in 27 states across the country. As a reminder, those Love places also offer full hookups for convenient overnight stays. Find out more here.

- New 164-Site RV Resort Opens in Arizona This Summer: A giant new RV campground is on track to open next month in Havasu, AZ, bringing some interesting and unique amenities along with it. The Dwell RV Resort & Casita Cabins resort is now accepting reservations starting on May 1, with 37 sites and four cabins expected to be completed by opening day. Expansion will continue from there, with the site eventually hosting 164 RV sites with full hookups, along with 20 custom park model cabins. All sites will reportedly offer great views of the Mojave Desert, with some facing out on the nearby bay. A clubhouse, resort-style pool, hot tub, fitness center, pickleball courts, and other amenities—including two dog parks—will open throughout the summer.

- Amazon’s Satellite Internet Service Set for Summer Launch: If you’re in the market for satellite internet service that isn’t owned by Elon Musk, we have some good news for you. Amazon Leo—formerly known as Project Kuiper—is expected to become commercially available sometime around the middle of the year. The service is expected to offer faster speeds than Starlink and cost less money, too. The Verge has the full scoop here.

- TravelFi Launches 5G Mobile Hotspot for Internet on the Go: Speaking of strong internet connections while traveling, this week TravelFi launched a new 5G mobile hotspot with plenty of great features for RVers. Dubbed the JourneyGo 5G, the new device offers increased speed (10-110 Mbps), with the option to automatically fall back to 4G/LTE connections when 5G isn’t available. The hotspot can support up to 16 gadgets connected at one time and has battery life of up to 24 hours, while serving as an access point with a range of 75-100 feet depending on the environment. And best of all, it offers month-to-month data plans with no long-term contracts and the ability to use eSIMs for compatibility with more providers. Find out more here.

- More Minorities are Going Camping: The latest data from The Dyrt’s 2026 Camping Report indicates that much of the growth in the camping community is coming from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) outdoor enthusiasts. According to a survey of thousands of Dyrt members, camping property managers, and US residents at large, individuals who are part of a minority group were 53% more likely to have camped for the first time in 2025. BIPOC campers were also 10% more likely to have tried a different type of camping last year, and are 55% more likely to prefer truck camping over other methods. - Trump Reduces Some Tariffs on Aluminum, Copper, and Steel: Good news for RV manufacturers who have been impacted by tariffs on aluminum, copper, and steel. This week, President Trump rolled back the taxes levied on products that aren’t substantially made up of those metals. For those items, the tariffs dropped from 50% to 25% of their value. Additionally, industrial and electrical grid equipment with high amounts of metal saw their tariffs dropped to 15% through 2027. Read more here.
