RV Road Trip: Boise, Idaho

Located in "Treasure Valley," This Vibrant City is a Haveno for Outdoor Recreation, Riverside Attractions, Hip Dining Spots, and So Much More

Image Caption: Photo Credit: Boise River Outdoor Opportunities

The Boise River snakes through downtown Boise, dividing the city geographically, yet bringing the community together. Rivers, mountains, and lakes surround the capital, which is the largest city in Idaho. This bounty of natural resources has earned the area the nickname “Treasure Valley.”

When in town, take advantage of patio season in what has been called one of “America’s Next Great Food Cities.” Relax and people-watch at a sidewalk café on 8th Street, a vibrant pedestrian walkway linking a multitude of restaurants, shops, and breweries.

A highlight of the city is the Boise River Greenbelt, which winds through trees, across bridges, and past parks, affording plentiful wildlife-sighting opportunities. The river is a source of recreation in the heart of Boise, making the city both urban and wild. The picturesque Greenbelt also provides ample outdoor adventure possibilities ranging from hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, swimming, kayaking, fishing, birding, and more. When exploring the trail, you will understand why Boise is called “The City of Trees.”

With so much to do in the area, be sure to put this treasure on your list of places to visit!
