When we compiled our list of favorite RVs that we saw at the Florida RV SuperShow last month, the Forest River Timberwolf 27MDK was one of the rigs that made the cut. We lauded the destination trailer for its impressive interior, but its signature feature is the fact that it comes with not one, but two patios. That alone puts it in a class by itself, but as you’ll see in the video above, there is a lot more to love about this comfy cabin on wheels.
Obviously, the two decks are a standout feature, with one located off the living room and another off the primary bedroom. Both are accessed through sets of sliding doors, which also serve as giant windows, allowing plenty of sunlight into the interior. Curtains provide privacy when needed, but when open, they offer expansive views of the surrounding landscape. Owners will want to pick their campsites accordingly.

Inside, the trailer offers all the luxury and comfort you would expect from a destination trailer. The living room includes a gigantic L-shaped lounge, which sits opposite a 65″ smart TV and a fireplace. Stacked windows are found on the opposite side of the sliding patio doors, continuing the theme of a bright, open interior. Nearby, sits a well-equipped kitchen that includes a counter that’s perfect for serving up food and beverages for anyone in the living room. A spacious bathroom with a residential-style shower, complete with bench, is also a nice perk.
The primary bedroom includes a king-size bed, a wardrobe, and a private entrance, as well as the aforementioned private patio. A second bedroom is found up a flight of stairs in a lofted space that features a queen-bed, cabinet storage, and a fireplace. Add in the sofa in the living room, and the Timberwolf 27MDK can easily sleep six adults. And with washer/dryer prep and a residential refrigerator, it also supports extended stays.

The video above takes you on a tour of the entire trailer, giving you a great sense of its space and all of the amenities it has to offer. As you’ll see, this is a well-appointed park model, that isn’t as large and ponderous as some other models. In fact, the video indicates it is 32′ 11″ in length, and has a GVWR of 11,490 lbs. That’s not especially heavy for a destination trailer, which are often much larger and bulkier in size.
