Chinese luxury RV manufacturer SAIC Motors has released its newest RV model: the Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition RV. The new RV  is a deluxe, medium-sized Class C motorhome that expands outwards with the help of slide-out walls and upward with a powered pop-up extension, creating a second floor.

A single-person elevator provides access to the pop-up second floor, eliminating the need for using a sidewall ladder or staircase. This provides accessibility for individuals unable to climb a ladder. However, due to the elevator’s size, it is likely to be inaccessible for individuals who utilize mobility aids.

SAIC describes the 133-square foot second floor as a multi-purpose space that expands to full height at the touch of a button. It features nearly floor-to-ceiling glass walls, that can be tint for added privacy, as well as a walk-out balcony.

The main living area is on the lower level. The floor space measures 215 square feet with the dual slide outs. This space houses the kitchen, living room, sleeping space, bathroom, elevator, and cockpit.

The kitchen has a cooktop, oven, sink, and fridge. An L-shaped corner sofa is the main focal point of the living room as is a transparent OLED TV, strategically placed in front of a window, providing views of the outdoors when the TV is not in use. The space comes complete with a JBL home theatre system and a ceiling-mounted projection system.

The alcove above the driver’s cabin is the main sleeping area. The wet bath and the elevator are in the rear of the RV, behind the kitchen.

Other notable amenities include LED lighting throughout the unit and a washing machine. An RV smart system controls all of the electronics and amenities in the living area and cockpit utilizing wall-mounted touchscreen interfaces, voice and gesture controls, and mobile devices.

The Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition starts at $413,000 using current exchange rates. SAIC sells exclusively in China.
