  • Outdoor Recreation Leaders Call For Swift Passing of the EXPLORE Act: With a new administration set to take over in Washington, DC in January, the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) is urging Congress to pass the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences—or EXPLORE—Act. The legislation is designed to boost the economies of small towns located on or near public lands, while also enhancing the lives of Americans by creating more opportunities to get outside. The EXPLORE Act has bipartisan support and has already cleared the House of Representatives back in April. If the Senate passes it, current President Biden is likely to sign the bill in a matter of days. Support from incoming President-elect Trump is murkier and he could decide to veto it outright.
