Dometic Launches New Line of Portable Plug-In Refrigerators
The CFX2 series of electric coolers comes in four sizes and starts at $600

Dometic has introduced a new line of portable refrigerators, bringing added convenience and fun to the outdoor space. The all-new CFX2 series of electric coolers is available today and delivers outstanding durability and performance in a variety of sizes and price points.

When plugged into an external power source—such as a portable power station or 12V vehicle port—the CFX2 can maintain a consistent temperature ranging between -7ºF and 68ºF. The cooler features self-folding handles for easy carry, durable reinforced corners, and an interior LED light. Taller body dimensions also provide more depth, allowing for more storage capacity across the entire line.
The unit comes with a three-stage battery protection system to keep everything running smoothly when plugged into a vehicle. The cooler also works seamlessly with Dometic’s own battery packs and solar panels, which can keep it running indefinitely in the field. The CFX2 series supports 12/24V DC and 100-240V AC power, making it the perfect option for use at home, at the campsite or beach, while tailgating, or anywhere you want to take it.

As we’ve seen with other electric coolers recently, the CFX2 series can be controlled and monitored remotely using the Dometic smartphone app. This provides users with the ability to check current temperature settings and adjust them as needed. That also means your favorite beverages, snacks, and other foods stay fresh and cool even as the outside temperature rises.
The CFX2 series is available in 28L, 37L, 45L, and 57L sizes, which roughly translates to a carrying capacity of 36, 48, 60, and 84 canned beverages, respectively. And since you won’t need ice to keep all those drinks cold, there is room left over to bring additional food items with you.
