Winnebago Shows Most Overall Growth in 2012

Winnebago Industries Inc. has been recognized by Statistical Surveys Inc. as the top performing motorhome manufacturer with both the largest volume and the largest overall growth in motorhome retail registrations during 2012, the company announced in a press release.

In the U.S. motorhome retail registration report issued yesterday for December of 2012, Forest City, Iowa-based Winnebago was listed as the top selling manufacturer for Class A and Class C motorhomes in 2012, with market share of 20.6 percent compared to 19 percent for 2011. Winnebago’s volume growth was 16.1 percent above retail registrations during 2011 compared to industry growth of 7.3 percent.

In the U.S. Class A market segment, Winnebago is also the top-selling market leader with 22.2 percent for 2012. In addition, the company also led the U.S. Class A gas market segment with 24.2 percent market share, grew U.S. Class A diesel market share to 19.4 percent and U.S. Class C market share to 18.5 percent for 2012.
