Q. I have heard both pro and con regarding leaving the refrigerator on during the entire camping season. Have any studies been done, or do you have any information stating if this is a good practice, or should one just turn it on and off as needed?
— D.C., Deerfield, New York
A. I don’t know of any studies on this, but we don’t recommend leaving an RV fridge on all the time. It wastes resources and doesn’t help anything. Just turn it on the day before you intend to use it.
