Travel Supreme’s SURV Has Rear Garage

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

Travel Supreme’s ME 41-foot mid-engine diesel-powered “sport-utility RV” (SURV) is equipped with a rear garage. Built on Spartan’s Me-2 platform, the Class A coach is powered by a 400-hp Cummins power plant. The Travel Supreme ME is popularly shown with a BMW-made Mini Cooper automobile on a hydraulic ramp that services the ME’s 440-cubic-foot rear garage.

All you do is drive the car up on the ramp, and the hydraulics take over to pull the car
(or golf cart) into the garage area. “Americans want to take their toys with them when they
go on vacation,” explained Travel Supreme President Glenn Troyer. “We’ve transferred that
into a highline motorhome. They want the convenience of putting the bikes inside and going anywhere they can and towing their car behind.” Very little is sacrificed inside this coach to allow for the garage, thanks to the mid-engine design of Spartan’s new chassis.

About the only tradeoff is that there’s no room in back for pass-through storage or a rear
bedroom slide. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is $300,000 to $350,000 (Mini
Cooper not included). Travel Supreme, (574) 862-4484, travelsupreme.com
