Toyota Passes Ford for No. 2 Slot

For the first time last year, Toyota Motor Company beat out Ford Motor Company to become
the No. 2 automaker in the world, behind General Motors. Toyota sold about 6.78 million
vehicles last year compared to Ford’s 6.72 million. General Motors sold 8.6 million units
last year.
