Thor Industries Acquires Damon

Thor Industries Inc. announced that the Jackson Center, Ohio-based company has acquired
Damon Motor Corporation of Elkhart, Indiana. Damon builds gas and diesel lines, including
DayBreak, Challenger, Intruder, Ultrasport and Escaper. This moves Thor to No. 4 in the
nation with an 8.5-percent retail market share in Class A motorhomes. Chairman Wade F.B.
Thompson noted, “We expect to retain the Damon management team and to operate the company’s
divisions autonomously.”
