The Rally Plans Vintage RV Display, ‘Oldest RV’ Contest

Originally Published in MotorHome Magazine

The Rally is gearing up for the 100th anniversary of RVing.

Celebrate this milestone with fellow RV enthusiasts at the largest RV event of the year, July 22-25 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky. Among The Rally’s celebratory festivities are a Vintage RV Display and “Oldest RV at The Rally” Contest.

The Rally will feature a special display of vintage RVs, organized by Al Hesselbart, considered the country’s foremost RV historian and currently the RV historian for the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind. This display will be open throughout The Rally and will be a wonderful opportunity to wander through a very interesting part of RV history.

The Rally is also celebrating the history of the RV lifestyle with special promotions and displays. There will be a contest for the “Oldest RV at The Rally.” The grand prize is 100 gallons of gasoline/diesel. Sign up online here or in person at The Rally in the registration area. Deadline to register is Friday, July 23, at 5 p.m. The winner will be announced at the Saturday night evening entertainment.

Don’t miss out on all of the fun at this year’s Rally. In addition to celebrating the 100th anniversary of RVing, The Rally will feature hundreds of new rigs, indoor exhibits, more than 150 seminars by the RV industry’s leaders and experts, and headlining entertainers Bob Newhart and Tanya Tucker, as well as contests and activities for all ages.
