Motorhoming has taken many new and fresh directions over the past
several years, and one of them leads to a group of users who are into
more extreme, edgier types of activities. These diversions can often
include anything from dune riding and dirt biking to a host of other
high-octane outdoor hobbies attractive to youthful participants and
growing families.
Intent on providing this demographic with the right equipment to pursue
these types of adventures, Fleetwood has launched a Class A motorhome
series dubbed the Terra X2.
The new 35-foot X2, with 34N floorplan, is laid out along
contemporary lines, and consists of a forward living room, midcoach
galley and dinette, a fully enclosed bathroom facility and rear master
bedroom. Livability is enhanced further with two slideouts — one
streetside module for the living/dining area and a curbside extension
for the bedroom.
In addition to this, Fleetwood has amped things up
significantly for the younger set. With the inclusion of such items as
racier full-body paint schemes, a set of bunk beds, and decor and
appointments that have the durability to handle hard use, this layout is
a natural for action-oriented groups and their activities.
Although we didn’t have a good opportunity to get the Terra X2
very dirty, we could tell from what we saw and experienced that it is
made to endure much more action and high jinks than our small group
could dish out. With a flamboyant, eye-popping paint job, resilient “go
anywhere” interior, a powerful no-nonsense chassis, and tons of cargo
and towing capacity, this action-oriented Class A is sure to please
youngsters and oldsters alike. Whether set up for a tailgate party,
hanging out in the infield at a NASCAR race, boondocking in the sand
dunes or hooked up at an upscale RV park, this nifty, full-featured
motorhome should serve its users well.
